Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there! And to my mom in particular here's a picture of your present so far (The centerpiece and 2 coasters):

They still have to be blocked (Stretched out) so you will be able to see the lace pattern better once I do that. Hopefully you'll have your other 4 coasters by the time you come to visit Worcester on Friday! 

Also, while I had my camera out I went and took a picture of the beautiful sock yarn I got from the Stitch n Bitch on Wednesday:

Yay for green yarn! woo! Now I just have to decide what to make with it... 

Also I've decided what my next project will be once I'm done with the rest of my mom's coasters. I've decided to try and make  the Everyone's Doing it Shrug since it takes less than a skein of yarn (I have plenty of Vanna's choice on hand) and it says it's easy and quick, all of the qualities I like in a pattern. I also don't want to start with a sweater that's too difficult or I might get overwhelmed, so this seemed like a good starting point. Hopefully I'll have time to make that this week as well. 

Anyway that's it for now, if I finish up the coasters I'll be sure to post pictures of the finished product!
